My Stay at the Hyatt in Atlanta — An Eventective User from Chicago, IL
Stayed here last month as part of a conference for HR managers for the South east district; the hotel was easy to locate and the service once I arrived was excellent. The bell boy was nice and courteous and was most importantly careful with the luggage. My check in was fast because it was a self-serve check-in, which is extraordinarily convenient because I was running a bit late for a dinner meeting. All the hotel required was your confirmation number or credit card matching name. I stayed on top floor of the hotel. It was very quiet and almost no foot traffic, which was nice because there were meeting scheduled early next day. The design of the room is like most luxury hotel rooms with the bathroom and closet, along with the door, on one side and the bed next to the window and balcony. The hotel has the usual amenities that range from WiFi to satellite television to an in room safe. The shop downstairs is stocked with everything you could possibly need from a light snack to a microwavable meal. Essentially anything for last minute needs. One other nice touch was the gym located in the hotel. Its open 24 hours a day so it's rarely crowded. They have an excellent gym: 8 treadmills, 4 stationary bikes, a complete set of free weights, medicine balls, machines for legs, arms, and core. If you are into Crossfit, this gym would be awesome to use every day. The gym was a very pleasant surprise. All in all I enjoyed my short stay with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area.
The perfect place for conferences! — An Eventective User from Troy, NY
I recently attended a conference at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta and was extremely impressed by what I found. The building had a wide variety of conference rooms, which was perfect as our conference was a large event (around 1,500 attendees) that had various needs for different sizes of conference rooms, as well as multiple rooms, as in some cases more than one speaker was presenting at a time. The staff was friendly and efficient when I encountered them, and extremely helpful. I also found the onsite amenities extremely pleasing- there was a restaurant and bar within the Hyatt that were excellent, and numerous offsite options located nearby. Additionally, for those who want a venue where rooms are available, the Hyatt has gorgeous and squeaky clean accommodations, and will offer discounts for larger events where a large block of rooms is needed. Again, there are other options nearby. For people coming from out of town, the hotel was a short ride from the airport, and one can obtain a shuttle for fairly cheap (around $16) to get from the airport to the hotel. There are other lodging options nearby as well. The Hyatt seems to offer everything a speaker would need, and much of the conferencing equipment seemed to already be on site. If it's a multi-day conference, there are also a ton of great attractions within walking distance of the Hyatt, if one wants to see the city of Atlanta. I was extremely pleased and surprised, after going mostly to meetings in the northeast, by the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff. Everyone seemed to be genuinely nice, and when I had questions on where a few things were, the staff was very quick to help me out. I'd definitely recommend the Hyatt for a meeting, and I hope to go there again soon!
