Atlanta Convention Center is a Great Place to Host a Meeting, An Eventective User from Minneapolis, MN

Atlanta has definitely earned its reputation as a top city for holding any business meeting with it's collection of first-class hotels, transportation and its numerous organizations that provide the necessary ingredients for a successful business meeting. Recently I had to attend a meeting with my company and it's investors and the Atlanta Convention Center was the chosen spot. My first thoughts were simply that it would just be another boring business meeting in a sterile business environment. Boy was I wrong. The Atlanta Convention Center is not just another boring convention center. The design is exquisitely modern and very appealing, anything but boring. On top of that it's connected to the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel and has access to the world's largest collection of retail products at wholesale prices. We were also served a lunch buffet by Classic Fare Catering that kept my stomach from rumbling and gave us something to snack on throughout the entire meeting. Definitely some of the best lunch I've had while having to remain at the site. I have to attend so many business meetings and functions throughout the year and most are really boring. The same old stuffy and mentally sterile meeting rooms I dread on every trip. So coming to Atlanta and seeing the Convention Center for the first time was a real treat. I can't wait to come back.


Convenience and Luxury!, An Eventective User from Chattanooga, TN

I recently attended a conference at the Atlanta Convention Center. Words cannot adequately describe this state of the art venue! My colleagues and I were thoroughly impressed with our time spent here and look forward to attending more events here in the future. When we first arrived from the airport, we were escorted to the convention center via their rapid transit system, which was very convenient. Later we were able to walk to our hotel (the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel) from the convention, which was directly connected to the conference center. One of the best and most convenient attributes to this convention center's location is the fact that it is so close to so many hotels. We didn't have to spend valuable time going back and forth from our hotel to the convention. Also, the staff was amazing. From registering and signing in, to asking them for directions, we were shown that famous 'Southern hospitality'. When we walked into the convention center the first time, we were blown away! It was sparkling clean, luxuriously decorated, and just awe inspiring. We checked our luggage and then we spent quite a bit of time wandering the building just to look at all of the different rooms. There were multiple show rooms and even a theater. I believe the most impressive feature of all was the 14 story Grand Atrium. It was just amazing. When you stood at the bottom, you felt like you were in a city within a city. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed what was supposed to be a 'work trip' probably a little too much. I am hoping to attend more conferences here in the future.

The Solarium is an historic event facility located in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, Georgia, convenient to public transportation, I-285 and I-20. We can accommodate approximately 150 guests indoors for a buffet reception, and about 200 for a standing, cocktail-type reception. We also have outdoor space that may be utilized for a ceremony and reception. Rather than packages or in-house vendors, we offer our clients the opportunity to select all their own vendors, including catering, entertainment, and decor; clients may also bring in their own alcohol. Our clients or their designee are responsible for pre-event setup and decoration and for post-event equipment breakdown and facility cleanup. We offer free on-street and off-street parking, and the Solarium is fully accessible for our disabled guests. Our facility also includes a bridal suite and a prep kitchen (sink, countertop, refrigerator and microwave).
