THE RUINS AT THE ASTOR Ready to plan your event at the most unique venue on the coast? The Ruins is in the very heart of downtown Astoria, Oregon - within a three-block radius from local shops, breweries, and eateries. For overnight accommodations, you can check out the Ruins' sister property, the Norblad Hotel. Parking is primarily on-street. The main hall is roughly 2600 SQ FT - not including the restrooms or entryway. There is a grand entrance, low-profile stage, amplified sound system, serving bar, men's and women's bathrooms, and a host of unique touches not found anywhere else. After being shuttered for over 50 years, the space that now serves as the Ruins venue was reopened to the public in 2015. The Ruins is almost exactly as it was found, offering an incredibly uncommon atmosphere, with an air of decayed opulence reminiscent of its 1920s origins.
