Best 20-year High School Reunion Ever! — An Eventective User from Albuquerque, NM
We had our 20-year Del Norte High School reunion at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History and we could not have booked a better venue! In my opinion, you need a good foundation to build a great event off of and this one was nothing less than perfect! Colleen Gibson was our even coordinator and she was amazing! Everything we needed was provided to us. We not only saved money on the venue itself, because the pricing was far less than other venues that did not offer half of what this one did, but we also saved on equipment and more. The key thing I look for is a venue that allows you to provide your own alcohol as long as you have a certified bartender do distribute, this saves a ton! They also provided all AV equipment, which allowed us to come up with a playlist from our high school days rather than hire a DJ. We were able to play a slideshow on one projector in the main room and were provided another room and projector to play class videos on a loop. There were plenty of different sized tables and chairs to accommodate for our setup. We not only had guest seating of 80-100, but high tops for yearbook and Photo Booth displays, ticket check in, raffle and gift bag tables, food and drink tables and bar table. Colleen had black linen with sparkly silver table runners to bring out our school colors, we just needed to add a turquoise flare. I could go on and on, this venue is perfect, ESPECIALLY for a reunion, which can be kind of awkward for people who haven’t seen each other for 10-20 years. You get full access to the museum, so if anyone needs a breather they can just walk around the museum. Colleen also let us put chairs around the museum in case anyone wanted a quieter space to catch up. This was a beautiful, fun, spacious venue and I highly recommend!!
