Hello I am looking for an affordable wedding venue in central Florida. Orlando/Kissimmee/lake buena vista area for 2014. Either to rent the space alone or venue with available food and beverage option. I have been looking around and some places are outrageous. Sometimes the price is good, but then there are so many service charges and fees, it ends up being costly. Really tired of looking! Gina

Hi Gina! You may wish to check out HOLLIS GARDENS. It is in Lakeland, but provides for a beautiful wedding reception and pictures in the immaculate gardens outside and a venue to rent for the party. Any questions you can email us or visit our website at www.sarahs-seasonings.com email: info@sarahs-seasonings.com

If you really want good responses, you need to say how many you plan to have and what budget needs to stay within. Affordable means different things to different people. In addition, pare that guest list down as much as possible. Every person off the list will save you in more ways than just that plate of food.

My daughter was married this last September, so I understand your need to stay within a budget. The costs add up very quickly. If the venue you are looking at has paid parking, you may want to ask for free parking or a discounted rate. Nice perk for your guests.

I've married many couples in Leu Gardens. Many beautiful places in the botanical gardens! There is a link to them and other places on my website. http://www.oursimpleceremony.com/services.htm

My guest list is only 50. And my budget is no more that $8000. for the ceremony, reception, photo/video, food & beverage, some florals, upgraded linens, limo(if necessary). Everything! When I do find an affordable venue, then they have food and beverage minimuns as well as 22-23% gratuity fee, and service charges. Then when I get the proposal it ends up being way over $8000 for everything. I already have my dress but there are also incidentals that I have not factored in. Whick I'm ok with. And some wedding planners do not even want to work with you on that budget.

Kimlyn, your budget for a 50-person event is completely doable to create an elegant wedding. I can help you with not only planning and designing, but also with budgeting, vendor coordination and negotiation and overall event management. My company, The Dolce Design, specializes in creating luxurious, budget-minded events (my own personal wedding was only $3750 for a total of 50 guests). Please let me know how I can be of assistance!

I am unfamiliar with their pricing, but I have officiated weddings at Paradise Cove http://paradisecoveorlando.com/ and Leu Gardens http://www.leugardens.org/rentals/wedding_std.htm If you are willing to come over to the coast, about 45 minutes away, the Pelican Beach Clubhouse is VERY affordable and perfect for 50 guests. http://www.satellitebeachrecreation.org/Pages/PelicanBeachClubhouseRentalFacility.aspx
