How do I plan a wedding on a VERY limited budget? I've been married once before and never had a real wedding, so I want this wedding to be very special for him and me. We're getting married June 18th and I don't know where to start. All the venue's I've checked into, are expensive when you have to supply the alcohol and food. Any idea's on a venue that has food and alcohol included in Shawnee or Kansas City Kansas that's reasonable? We both ride motorcycles so our theme will be kind of around Harley Davidson, but not too bikerish, if you know what I mean. Help!

Your best bet is to check into locations run by fraternal organizations (Elks, VFW, Moose, etc.), local parks and recreation facilities, or college/university facilities. They are not "wedding venues", so they typically charge less to use their spaces.
Good luck!

Hi, Im sorry we cant help you dilrectly, but being from Milwaukee I do have a few Harley friendy ideas. First of all i would suggest contacting a local harly dealership, one of our locally actially holds weddings in their showroom and one near you might be open to the idea - if they havent done it they may like the free publicity they could get from doing that.
My second suggestion is to do a tented wedding ( if you are getting married in a warm enough season) often a tent rental and grouds rental may be far less then a hall. Then contact a cateror that specializes in company picnics, they may offer some great ideas that reflect what you giys are looking for at a more affordable price.
hope this helps

Love the show room idea! And Harley can be a fun wedding theme without being cheesy. I'd recommend utilizing the Harley colors, accenting with you'd touches of silver or "chrome". You're theme could be "on the ride of life together" or "to many more miles or adventures". Ask everyone to enter a suggestion of where you should ride to next in you're wedding guest book.

One way to start off your wedding planning is to invest in a wedding planner - be it online, a book or a person. We recommend a person because they can help you customize your wedding details to your liking, help you through the stressful times, and be available for vendor communications when you're unavailable ~ but you definitely want to start with a planner. Once you identify what elements you want in your wedding you can begin to see what the costs are for those items and decide if the pricing keeps you within your budget.
We offer a blog that helps with where to start in planning your wedding.

Also, we have affordable invitation options for brides-to-be. We can do just cards, or you can add pockets, wraps or embellishments to enhance the design. Check out our gallery to get an idea of what we can provide for you:

Our invitation packages are broken down for your convenience and to help you determine where you might want to start. Pricing is based on the number of invites, so if you'd like a quick quote let me know.

I definitely recommend checking out the blog first to get an idea where to start. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to email us.
