Looking for a place to have a bridal shower we need a decent space, able to bring own food and play music
The event will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Set-up will occur in the morning prior to the opening of the event at 10:00 am. I am estimating that a minimum of 2000 to a maximum of 3000 square feet of space will be fine. We will place exhibitor tables against the perimeter of the space (the displays will be table-top in nature). The exhibitors will have products that are all related to virtual and augmented reality, especially as it all relates to social media and the ways in which we all are connected (more and more) and how everything we do is tracked and monitored in some way by the new “gadgets” that are becoming part of our everyday lives.
There is a possibility that if one of the exhibitors would like to sponsor a Lunch & Learn, then we will also need space for that event. This would entail a small stage area with projector and screen, tables and chairs and we can make the menu as simple as boxed lunches so that those who wish to attend and participate simply grab their box lunch and take a seat. And then at the conclusion of the event, if one of the exhibiting companies would like to sponsor a reception, we can have beer & wine for an hour (5:00 - 6:00 pm).
In terms of attendance, we are estimating 200 people on a flow basis. The entire group will not be present all day, there will be people coming and going, visiting with exhibitors, taking part in demos of the products, or attending the Lunch & Learn.

I'm going to suggest a version of networking bingo.
Everyone receives a bingo style card with attributes in each box. Examples might be:
- I camped at the bottom of the Grand Canyon
- I make gourmet meals at camp outs
- My idea of camping is a night at the Hyatt
Ideally, you would set up the card so every attribute applies to someone at the party (and possibly only one person).
The idea is everyone asks everyone else to sign a box on their card which applies to the person signing.

Hi I'm looking for a venue in Scarborough need a TTC bus stop for a 21+ birthday party. I have about 120 to 150 guest and would prefer not to pay per person, so the venue must have a flat rental fee. I also was a bar to be present but do not require a bartender or the alcohol to be provided. Party is on a Saturday night so the venue must be open until at least 2am. Your posting indicates you are looking for a location for a surprise birthday party in Rhode Island with a water view. I'm from Rhode Island and have several ideas which I will post here for you (please do feel free to follow up with me, DrRonShapiro1981@SigmaXi.Net, for more ideas):
- You can't get more of a water view than having your party at a lighthouse on an island. Not sure how many people are coming, but you might consider an overnight (or an afternoon event) at the Rose Island lighthouse.
- Don't quite want to go out to an island, consider having your event at Colt State Park. More economical than the lighthouse, and beautiful, too.
- Want to be out on the water for just an hour or two? Consider having your party on one of the boats that leave from one of the wharfs in Newport.
- Want a water view from a restaurant? Consider Finns or Blue in East Greenwich.
- Having a big, elegant event? Consider renting the Towers in Narragansett.
- Like Narragansett, but less elegant? There are several restaurants on the water.
- Want a big banquet room in walking distance to the water? Let me know and I'll work with you on getting a theater and /or banquet room in Narragansett.
- Want more of a beach restaurant? Try George's in Galilee.
