I DO! Taking Weddings to the Extreme

Posted by jessie under Weddings

For some couples, a typical wedding ceremony on the ground just doesn’t cut it. Here are some ways that people go to extremes to inject their wedding with adrenaline and make it truly unforgettable.

Skydiving wedding

skydivewedding.jpgA skydiving wedding is the ultimate way to take the “plunge” into marriage! There are a couple of ways you can do this.

You can either say your vows on the ground before or after you jump out of the plane, or you can say your vows right before you jump from the plane 14,000 feet in the air!

When you land on the ground together, you’ll be married.

Bungee Wedding

You might not be 14,000 feet up but you’ll still get an adrenaline rush and an unforgettable wedding.

For newlyweds, tandem bungee jumping is the way to go.

Underwater wedding

An underwater wedding can be performed in an aquarium or in the ocean, either with or without underwater speaking devices for exchanging your vows.

You’ll have do be certified scuba-divers if you want to have an underwater ceremony but the experience will surely be unforgettable!

Hot air balloon wedding

You can still have a wedding high up in the air, even if free-falling isn’t quite your thing. A hot air balloon wedding is one of the more unique and romantic ways to have an outdoor wedding.

You’ll feel peace and tranquility as you glide above breathtaking scenery at heights of 500 to 1500 feet.

Roller coaster

Whether you choose a crazy inverted coaster or an old-fashioned wooden one, a roller coaster will make for an exciting and memorable wedding.

You’ll have crazy wedding photos and hopefully it won’t be too symbolic of the future with your new spouse!

Helicopter Wedding

Say “I do” while you’re in the air or land in a romantic spot and say your vows there.

Wedding in Space (coming soon)

How about a wedding that’s out of this world, literally?

Motivational speaker Cindy Cashman is planning to marry her fiancé in the first ever wedding in space, set to take place sometime in 2010.
