Couple Get Married in Funeral Home

You have probably heard of some rather strange locations to plan a wedding, but this gives the phrase “till death do us part” a whole new meaning… a funeral home!

Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home has had it’s fair share of flowers and couples, but never have they held a ceremony for two living people… until recently.

“This room is usually filled with sadness and contemplation, but today it is filled with joy and celebration,” said Rev. Greg Prather.

The newly wed couple, Jason and Rachael Storm, said they didn’t see much difference between getting married in a church or a funeral home.
“I look at it as, if you go to a church and get married, how many caskets do you think have been rolled down that aisle?” said Jason Storm.

When the couple initially told their friends and family about it, not everyone was amused. Some refused initially to even attend the event but the couple managed to convince everyone it would be alright.
