The Most Important Considerations for Planners When Selecting an Event Space

Posted by admin, on 4/7/2011, in category Planning

Eventective released the results of an online poll that asked planners “What is most important to you when choosing an event space?” According to Eventective’s online poll, price is the most important consideration for planners as they select venues for their weddings, parties, meetings and other social occasions.

Of 1,654 poll respondents, 65 percent chose price with location a distant second at 14 percent. Special considerations, such as the option for planners to bring in their own catering or decorations, were important to 12 percent. Seven percent of planners chose ambience and only two percent selected amenities.

As planners research event venues, price ultimately plays a large role in their decision making process and final selection.

Is it possible to see more detail regarding this poll? We find these results hard to believe given our demographic and the fact that we own and manage five event venues. 65% more concerned with price is difficult for us to consider. However, we would love to be able to use this poll in pricing our venues. Thank you!!

This poll was posted on our website.  The respondents were planners using Eventective to search, locate and book event spaces and services in the United States and Canada.  We asked them “What is most important to you when choosing an event space?” and gave them five choices - price, location, amenities, ambiance and special considerations such as can I bring in my own catering.  If you have other questions, please feel free to contact us at marketing@eventective.com.
