The Newport Casino, home to the International Tennis Hall of Fame, offers one of the most unique entertainment venues in North America. Our six-acre, Victorian shingle-style complex is a vibrant illustration of the grace and charm of 19th Century American design. When the Casino opened in 1880 as a social and sporting club, it served as the cultural life of the community. Now a National Historic Landmark, its remarkable legacy as a premier entertainment and sporting complex continues.
The Hall of Fame offers a setting of timeless elegance perfect for corporate hospitality and meetings, as well as receptions, ceremonies, luncheons, dinners and social gatherings. Within this unique facility, and available for rent, are stunning open-air latticed porches and an indoor function room that offers state-of-the-art technology and a beautiful porch overlooking the courtyard.
Our exquisite tennis museum is available for viewing and for cocktail parties and our thirteen grass courts are available for tennis or croquet. For a unique flair, we can arrange a tennis or croquet match on the Horseshoe Court with players dressed in turn-of-the-century costume, allowing your guests to feel as if they've stepped back in time.

International Tennis Hall of Fame, Newport — In 1954, the Newport Casino was designated as the site of the International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum to preserve the historic legacy of the game of tennis. Designed by the distinguished architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White, the complex of buildings was completed in 1880 as a private club and playground for the wealthy summer residents of Newport, Rhode Island.

| Museum Galleries - The International Tennis Hall of Fame is the largest and only internationally recognized tennis museum in the world. The 20,000 square foot Museum features interactive exhibits, extraordinary videos and popular memorabilia of tennis champions past, present and future. Since it was established as the Hall of Fame in 1954, 186 legends have been inducted into the Hall including Chris Evert, Rod Laver, Jimmy Connors and Steffi Graf, just to name a few. While visiting what is recognized as one of the world's most outstanding sports museums, you can go back in time to the elegant game of Court Tennis, witness the arrival of lawn tennis in the late 1800s, and pass through the decades to see today's top contenders. |

When not being used for an event, the USTA Wing is part of our museum galleries. Specifically designed for this purpose, moveable exhibits and wall panels can be adjusted to stay in the room to add to your experience or can be removed.
For meetings, there is a large screen, with a corresponding ceiling-mounted LCD player. The screen is covered with a beautiful watercolor print when not being used for presentations.
