| This is an open meadow covering about one acre, and surrounded by pines and a mixture of summer flowering shrubs. It is a rustic setting, with no buildings or structures visible. It is located off the Arboretum's Spruce Trail, about one-third of a mile from the Visitor Center. Away from main roads, it offers the feel of a wilderness and the convenience of being in the city.
Capacity is about 100 people. An access road runs adjacent and downhill from the meadow (a key is required for vehicular access). This allows delivery of canopies, chairs, tables, port-a-potties, etc rented from outside sources. |
