The Fellas were formed in the summer of 1991. The group consisted of founding members, Joe Rivera III (lead vocals/1st tenor), Ricardo Wright (lead vocals/1st tenor), Andrew 'Drew' Rhoden (lead vocals/2nd tenor) and Anthony Cooper, Jr. (lead vocals/baritone/bass).
The Fellas are patterned after the Temptations, whose style allows anyone to step out front and sing lead, without compromising the harmony. Not wanting to be typecast as an "oldies" group, The Fellas are also armed with original material catered to the adult audience. Artists that influenced The Fellas (besides Motown acts) are The O'Jays, The Manhattans, The Spinners, Rachelle Farrell, Marvin Gaye, Will Downing and Phil Perry, to name a few.
Today in 2013, original members Ricardo Wright and Joe Rivera III continue to perpetuate Classic Soul music, along with JoQuae DeVonish who was a member of the latter lineup of the Fellas and newest member Roman Barksdale. Classic Soul returns from Detroit, MI and NYC.

We cover a range of music from the 1960's through the 1990's. Our musicians can play soft music while your guests are dining and roll into great dance music when it's time for your guests to hit the floor.

1. COMPENSATION: A 50% deposit is required on all dates; payable to THE FELLAS or to JOSEPH J. RIVERA in US dollars. The balance of the money must be paid prior to the performance, night (or day) of the show. The balance payment MUST be a certified check, cashiers check or money order made payable to THE FELLAS or JOSEPH J RIVERA or in cash (US dollars). ARTIST will refuse to accept a personal or company check as fulfillment of any portion of the PURCHASER’S obligation hereunder. All payments shall be made as provided herein. In the event the PURCHASER fails to make any payment at the time stipulated herein or breaches any other provision of this agreement.
2. TRANSPORTATION: It is also understood and agreed upon that the PURCHASER obtain all clearances from local authorities should loading and parking areas are on the main thoroughfare. Should any permits or traffic patrolman be required, it is understood and agreed upon that the PURCHASER will arrange this in advance. The PURCHASER agrees to secure all permits and licenses necessary to allow the proper production of the ARTIST’S show at the place of engagement
3. DRESSING ROOMS: PURCHASER shall provide, at his/her own expense two (2) large dressing rooms for singers and band with lockable doors and security, for the sole use of the ARTIST and the band. These dressing rooms should be clean, with heating or AC, adequate lighting, a large dressing mirror, clothes rack along with clothes hangers, comfortable chairs, lined trash can and toilet facilities within or in close proximity. These rooms must have at least two (2) working AC outlets or power strips.
