Midtown Loft and Terrace has a wonderful wedding venue. I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, and the catering was nice as well. Midtown Loft and Terrace provides a large loft and terrace, as the name suggests. The Terrace has a fantastic view of the Empire State Building, marble collegiate church views, a fully equipped kitchen, and much more. There is an indoor/outdoor sound system which sounded magnificent. There is a garden on the terrace that has been well-cared for, and looks beautiful. There also is a 400 sq ft interior lounge, which is perfect to chat in. It provides two bathrooms, and a brick fire place as well. Not only is the terrace great, but the loft is as well! The loft accommodates 180 for a seated dinner. There are large draped windows on all four sides, and central air conditioning to keep everyone nice and cool. The loft has three marble bathrooms and even one that is handicap accessible. It provides a fully equipped kitchen and adjustable spot lighting. A professional sound system and high ceilings makes for a great show. It also has a two passenger elevator, and one freight elevator. There is a red carpet available for the lobby entrance as well, to make the atmosphere have that important feel to it. The staff was kind most of the time. We did have trouble with one of them, however I do not think that happens often. Other than that, the venue was just amazing. I will never forget it.

I recently married in October of last year and held my wedding reception here in this Midtown Venue. The Midtown Loft is right in the heart of the city, and aside from the beautiful backdrop of the city, the people at Midtown ensure you a successful party. They truly listen to your instructions on detail and setup and are prepared in a timely matter. You can choose between the Midtown Loft and the Midtown Terrace, They're held in the same place, just in two different spaces. I personally used the Midtown Loft for its "lofty" setting appropriate for the seasonal change. The Loft perfectly accommodated all of my guess to seating. What made me most excited about this venue was the brightness. There are so many windows that let in so much light and show a wonderful view of the city and the Empire State Building. I cannot tolerate dark places. I find them quite dreary and depressing. But this room was vibrant giving a celebratory feel. When it was time to really party, there was spotlighting available. The spotlighting additionally set the mood for fun. You can also make as much noise as you want because the walls are sound proof. When you first walk into the place, you feel like a star because of the red carpet entrance. The Venue is also located perfectly around mass transit and subways, so you do not need a car to get there or need of a taxi (guest should know.) Indeed it is the city, and public transit is always a must. The place in general is just beautiful all around. The flooring, a wooden floor, is fantastic. But most of all, I would have to say the staff treats you and the guest like true royalty. Just return the highest respect, but they are indeed here to service you. My wedding reception could not have been at a better place. I would recommend the Midtown Loft to any one planning a wedding in the Fall or Winter seasons, even early Spring. But for anyone planning a late Spring to Summer wedding, you should definitely book the Terrace. I had a chance to view it before my final selection, but I thought it would be most accommodating for my guest in case of a chilly day. I hated when the event was over because it was so much fun. I would have to say thanks again to Midtown Loft.

After Pochron Studios closed, putting our all of our wedding plans on life support, we walked into Midtown Loft and Terrace to see if it was at possible to host our wedding on short notice. Marzena, the primary contact, was awesome from the very beginning. She genuinely empathized with our situation, and was incredibly flexible with our needs. Fortunately, our wedding date (August 1st) was still available. On the downside, it was about $3,000 dollars more than Pochron (and our budget). Understanding the situation Pochron put us in, Marzena offered to cut $1500 off the cost, and allowed us to break the payments into fourths to help us manage it (as opposed to half up front) while we waited for our refund to come in from Pochron.
If you are looking for a genuine Manhattan wedding, the venue couldn't be more perfect. The roof deck sits right underneath the Empire State Building, a view that even local New Yorkers were awed by, to say nothing of the reaction from those out of town. The deck has a new wood flooring, separate glass-enclosed room, lights on the brick wall, and other touches that provide elegance. Even more impressive, it has a sound system wired to plug into an iPod, giving you an easy (and affordable) way to provide music all night. A small kitchen is located in a separate room, making it easy on the caterers to prepare and serve cocktail appetizers. It was also able to keep a nice breeze despite the summer heat, keeping kept the guests comfortable. It is ideal for a classy cocktail hour, giving everyone a genuine taste of NYC.
All in all, we would highly recommend Midtown Loft and Terrace for anyone looking for a true city wedding. If it sounds like we are raving about it, that is probably because it has been two weeks since our wedding, and we still haven't stopped hearing from people how awesome the venue was. You can't go wrong here
