"Top both venue for business meetings", An Eventective User from Beverly Hills, CA
I recently had to plan a meeting across the country in New York completely via telephone and online communications only. I was very worried about not seeing the venue in person as we had a lot riding on the success of this meeting. I settled upon The Waldorf Astoria in midtown Manhattan as it was centrally located and easy for our clients on the east coast to access. We only required a small amount of space as we had between 10-15 people attending the meeting. After speaking with the event staff at the hotel we settled upon The Duke of Windsor Suite. We included a buffet breakfast before the meeting and setting up the menu was easy. I had an easy time contacting the hotel to make the arrangements. They arranged for fresh flowers in the meeting room as well as signage to direct our attendees. In addition to the meeting I and my partners stayed at the hotel. The meeting room was fantastic. It was elegant and beautifully appointed. There was a fireplace and comfortable leather chairs for our guests. Everything was set up perfectly according to the plan I had emailed the staff. The room was intimate and not too big. I was concerned because it was a small meeting that we'd get lost in a large room but this was just perfect. The hotel really knows how to make things run smoothly and we didn't have a single issue. Our stay there was fantastic as well. It's a very impressive hotel with a long tradition of elegance. I wouldn't hesitate to hold a meeting there again.

"amazing!", An Eventective User from manhattan ny
While this hotel is a little pricey, the service and decor and amazing. If you have your wedding here it will be absolutely unforgettable. The Maitre'd was absolutely helpful without being over bearing. The planning of the venue was simple and made very easy by the employees. The entire wait staff was helpful, and just pleasant to be arond. The decorations are beautiful but neutral enough to go with any theme or color scheme. The food as prepared by the kitchen staff was perfect and everyone loved it! All of my guests were so impressed with my wedding I would not have changed a thing.

"Best Day of my Life", An Eventective User from New York, NY
My husband and I decided for our wedding venue to be at the Waldorf Astoria, because of the service and beauty it provided. The outside of the building looks like a beautiful part of history, but when you walk inside it is a modern piece of class. When I walked in with my wedding dress, I felt as if I was a part of Vogue Magazine. They had flesh flowers throughout the lobby, and the service was beyond belief. The food was delicious, and the only suggestion i have if you decide to have your wedding here is to have a late wedding. Because we had our reception at six everything was lit up outside and inside, so it really put people in the mood to have fun. They were even willing to work with me on blocking off a certain amount of rooms, and then they gave us a discounted price. The rooms are beautiful by themselves, so any decorations you add will be more than welcome. I did not encounter any problems with them working with my florist and cake decorator. The wedding venue was beautiful because they had set up and taken care of the lighting. They were even willing to working with me and my indecisive nature, because I could not decide on the menu. They allowed me to come in and try samples of the food before i made my final choice. I have to say their communication skills were great too, whether i called or emailed them they always got back to me as soon as possible. The wait staff knew how to serve the people correctly, and no one wanted for anything.

"An Experience You Won't Forget", An Eventective User from Ormond beach, Florida
I have been to New York City at least 60 times in my lifetime. Not only I have visited for leisure purposes, but I have also gone there for many business ventures. One of the best places I have been to host a conference is the The Waldorf Astoria. Originally opened in the 1800's, it is located near many posh shops and restaurants. The Waldorf has a plethora of conference venues in their hotel and can seat upwards of one thousand guests per room. Whether your conference is intimate and just for a few clients, or if it's for your entire office, the Waldorf Astoria can accommodate with class and elegance. The Waldorf has a long legacy of hosting some of the best events in the city. With personal planners and even catering offered, the Waldorf is the most prestigious place to host your event. Though it can lead towards the more pricy side for a venue, it is well worth your dollar and will not disappoint. The Waldorf will take you and your party on a timeless venture that will not easily be forgotten. I would recommend this venue to anyone with an upcoming wedding, conference, or office meeting. In the city that never sleeps, you will be beyond pleased with what the Waldorf has to offer.

"Yay for the Waldorf Astoria!", An Eventective User from Brooklyn, NY
My wife and I got married in July of 2010. I we lived in Brooklyn at the time and we knew that we wanted a downtown, central venue for our wedding. My wife is very classy and we wanted a place that was going to be classy also. We looked around for quite some time before making our decision, and finally we settled on the Waldorf Astoria, New York. When we called about the ballroom, the staff was very pleasant. They were kind and considerate and asked us several different questions to determine what we needed. They explained all the services they offered, and we were able to decide from there. When we got to the hotel, we were amazed. The lobby is unbelievably beautiful and elegant. The front desk staff is amazing. They are all very friendly and amenable. The ballroom was outstanding. It was a huge banquet room with 4 different entrances. We had a full service staff that served our guests' food and wine. We did decide to go with the hotel's catering, and it was amazing. I was really pleased with the food and the way that it was presented. They allowed for a DJ during the reception, which was great for our guests. I really enjoyed the banquet manager. She was a delight to work with and so was everyone there. Overall on a scale of 1-5 I would give the Waldorf Astoria, New York a 5. I was very pleased, as were our guests, but most importantly, my wife.
