 6/10/2008 | | "Don't trust this company", An Eventective User from Columbia, Connecticut | | This is not a company to be trusted..I booked two limos from tristar in Aug of 2007 for a June 2008 wedding. On the day of my wedding, 2 hours before they were expected, I received a phone call from another limo company informing me that Tristar did not have any vehicles to send and they had passed the contract over to this other company, who informed me that they could not send vehicles for the price they were being offered by tristar. It turned out that tristar, after being paid in full, kept my money and told the other company they would have to collect payment for their services from me when they arrived to pick us up. I was forced to spend another $1600 or they weren't going to send any limos to pick up our wedding party. When they did finally send the limos, they arrived 2 hours late and were not the limos I reserved. It appears that this is common practice by tristar to accept payment for reservations they have no intentions of fulfulling. I have yet to here back from tristar, despite numerous calls to their company. As a result, my only recourse is to seek restitution by filing a lawsuit against tristar limo in an attempt to get a refund for the $1600 I originally paid to them for the reservations...What ever you do, don't rent from TriStar, read reviews and choose wisely. There are many other more reputable companies to choose from, that don't work under shady business practices.... |
