 1/16/2012 | | "Breathtaking Venue", An Eventective User from Washington, DC | I had my wedding at Waters Edge in June of 2010. It was absolutely beautiful! The view of the Manhattan skyline and Queensboro Bridge was breathtaking. We have so many amazing photos of the skyline at night with all of the lights. It made the water sparkle. The reception room was very spacious. There were floor to ceiling windows that allowed us to view everything from the inside. We had a great dance floor space. My family loves dancing, so that was perfect. Even though there was a large crowd, there was enough space for everyone to dance freely. There was also a boat that allowed us to take a private mini tour in the area. This option was at an additional cost, but if you can afford it, it is well worth it. Any woman would love to be married here. Looking up at the outstanding chandeliers put the icing on the cake. There were also other amenities, such as a private balcony for people that wanted to get away from the dancing crowd. There was also one of the BEST fireplaces that I've ever seen. It was a big hit, and people were gathered around it for much of the night.
In addition to the wonderful scenery, the Event Planner was awesome. It seems that they have had similar events here, so they really knew what they were doing and gave a lot of helpful advice. I would have to say that this overall experience (not including the wedding itself) was perfect! |
| 1/10/2012 | | "5 star view and atmosphere", An Eventective User from Long Island City, New York | Water's edge was definitely the best choice for my wedding. I am still getting compliments from my guests and family about loving everything about the place. They still talk about the food and what good times we had eating, talking, and watching the sunset past the New York skyline. Especially for some whose first time it was in New York, Water's Edge offered them a great opportunity to view the beauty of New York City. It really is a 5 star atmosphere and the whole restaurant is simply breath taking. The whole building was extremely focused on this event being superb. And it was the epitome of excellence in my opinion. It really set the mood for the rest of the night and I am so happy that all of the guests seemed impressed and were having a good time. My family and I are not very difficult to please In the first place, however Water's Edge went above and beyond my expectations.
The food was great, cooked to perfection and although what I was eating was great, looking over at the fish my father ordered made me jealous. Whoever invested in this location is a genius and the restaurant continues to impress. I am filled with joy, this place was such a convenient and easy location for the wedding reception. It really helped relieve the stress of the day and was something that had to go right for the wedding and it did. It went right with flying colors. I would recommend this place for all wedding venues and I would also recommend it as a restaurant to attend. |
|  12/13/2011 | | "incredible setting", An Eventective User from tifton, ga | Waters Edge is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. my satisfaction goes beyond a regular restaurant. they have everything you would desire, from parties, to catering weddings, to Bar Mitzvahs. I spent four days and the price was reasonable for the elegance and satisfaction I enjoyed. i plan to visit once a year. Their is something at waters edge for every occasion. Coming up this year are big parties for Christmas and New Years.
The service is very good and the employees make you feel like you live there. I tried different menus and they were all excellent. The waiters give you samples of different types of food off the menus. I got full the first night just sampling. I found several seafood dishes I had never tried. Now I eat them as a regular diet.
Don;t miss out on this restaurant. They will give you the best accommodation for the best prices and all in New York City. |
| 12/12/2011 | | "Great views and service", An Eventective User from New York, NY | | When my husband and I were looking for a site for our wedding reception, we had three things in mind: price, service, and location. The Water's Edge Restaurant met and exceeded all of our needs. When we first met with the representative, we were sure Water's Edge would be out of our budget. The views are spectacular and the restaurant itself is magnificent. However the staff was very professional, ask for our budget up front, and worked to stay within in. We were able to choose our menu, and they made special plates for our guests with allergies. The photographer was able to get excellent photographs of us overlooking the New York skyline. My husband and I did not have much time to plan our reception with work commitments, but the staff handled everything for us. It was a perfect event for us, and all of our guests commented on how nice it was. We would recommend Water's Edge to anyone for a Wedding or any event. |
