This restored turn of the century mansion is the place for you to come and experience great food, friendly service and splendid old world architecture. The Hamlin family built this Italianate style mansion in 1865 at the height of Buffalo's renaissance period. It now houses a great place to relive a part of Buffalo's great past and experience its growing future. My folks and I cohosted an anniversary/birthday party at Hamlin House. I can't recommend them strongly enough. I dealt with Sharon entirely by phone until the day of the party. She was patient, kind but professional and organized. The hall was well prepared and the staff quick to help, friendly and truly personable. We received many compliments on our selection of this venue. Sharon and her staff were quick to deal with any request I made and did so with a smile. I can think of only two negatives, and both of them are things you can work with: 1. There is not much dedicated parking. While there is parking on each side of the street and some lots nearby, they don't have a parking lot of their own. We had approximately 100 guests and no one had trouble finding somehere to park. 2. There is a truly lovely Bride's Room on the second floor. It has antique dresses and brocade sofas. But, it is not airconditioned (like the rest of the hall) and the windows don't open. Sharon brought us a fan, but it wasn't enough for us. Instead we stored our belongs there, but got dressed and did make up in the main ladies bathroom and sitting room.
