"Top Notch Food", An Eventective User from Brooklyn, NY
It was clear from the get-go that food would be the most important part of our wedding celebration, not just because I write a food blog and we lived in San Francisco for four years. Well maybe that has a lot to do with it! We knew that it would be a challenge to find a caterer that was going to do the local, organic, sustainable, ethical food thing and were therefore thrilled to find Season to Taste.

We came across their ad in Edible Boston and decided to do a tasting about one year before the wedding (yes to local geeks - so we could get a true idea of what would be in season!). The tasting itself was an experience, more of a gourmet dinner served right inside their kitchen. We knew from the first bite that this was going to be the place, because not only do they strive to use local and seasonal ingredients, the food is really tasty, too!

The only small hitch was trying to negotiate the troubled waters of humanely raised meat. Robert Harris (the owner) was more than enthusiastic about the idea, but the practicality of getting these sorts of meats in 2010 in the Boston area was a challenge. In the end we decided to offer only one meat dish to our guests, and nobody complained about the (mostly) vegetarian menu.

If you are looking for a bargain you won't find it, but if you are looking for delicious food from a caterer who understands environmental issues (in addition to sourcing local and organic when possible, they compost all of the kitchen waste and pay their staff a living wage) then Season to Taste is for you!
