Meeting Facilities NIU Hoffman Estates has 17 meeting rooms including a 250 seat auditorium, tiered and flat classrooms, executive conference rooms, multipurpose room, seminar rooms, computer lab, video conference room and more. Flexible set-ups in our modern, sun-lit meeting rooms and advance technology enhance all types of events. All rooms have windows, soundproof walls, ergonomically designed chairs and individual climate control. All meeting rooms include our complimentary A-V package and onsite technical support to ensure your meeting runs smoothly. Our two story atrium has lots of natural light perfect for on-site registration, exhibit space, networking and evening receptions. The center features free high speed internet access throughout building and onsite free parking. Location The NIU Hoffman Estates Center is conveniently located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, 30 miles from downtown Chicago and easily accessible from Interstate 90. The center is just 18 miles from O’Hare International Airport.

a wonderful place for a meeting, An Eventective User from DeKalb, IL

In the Chicago suburbs, NIU-Hoffman Estates is a lovely place for a meeting. They offer ""smart classrooms"" with on-site assistance for linking to NIU's technology. There is a library, a reasonably priced catering service, and free parking. They will also help with event planning and registration. Travel from O'Hare to Hoffman Estates can be arranged with Airways Shuttle Taxi Service for a flat and reasonable fee, and there are plenty of mid-range hotels within easy distance of the venue. The catering during the meeting is particularly nice. They provide excellent hot lunches, extended treats for breaks times, and continuous beverage service -all without a gratuity or extra service fee. The meeting rooms are classroom-like, but are versatile and will be arranged to suit your needs. Videoconferencing is also an option in these rooms. I have used the other NIU regional sites as well. They are lovely, and arguably NIU-Naperville is a prettier and more modern-appearing site. However, what makes the Hoffman Estates site the winner for me is the staff. Again, this is not a criticism of the other sites; their staff have been professional and friendly. The Hoffman Estates site staff, however, goes above and beyond. When I presented at a meeting there a few weeks ago, the event coordinator remembered that I prefer soy milk with my coffee and left a small pitcher for me -and I had not been there in over a year. I will return more frequently when there is personalized, thoughtful service like that available.

We are located right on the north shore of Long Lake in Ingleside with the most beautiful view of the setting sun over the Chain of Lakes. We have cathedral ceilings surrounded by sliding glass doors. Our dance floor is 28 x 32, larger than you will find anywhere. We take pride in not having all those extra charges that you might find in other facilities: We do not charge extra for colored linens, no extra charge for cake cutting, no extra charge for bartenders, no extra charge for our facility, no extra charge for centerpieces and no extra charge for premium liquor and beers in our bar packages. Our competition charges for these items, and they can add an additional $7-$15/person to cost of your event. We can host your wedding ceremony right at our location under our large white canopy. We have the wedding arch, white folding chairs and we can do the music, all the setup, take down, and rehearsal, all this for a minimal to no charge, depending on your package choice. We can help you find someone to do your ceremony, a DJ or photographer, limo, hotel accommodations or florist to make your day worry free, (for links to these check our website and your worries will be over). To lock up your date, we ask for a $750 deposit. We don’t meet to do menu and details until 1 month before your date and we don’t require final count until 1 week before. Alhambra Palace is a one of a kind, dynamic venue that transports all who enter into another world.
