That's a lot of legal-talk that says that my job is to carry out the state requirements that someone certified marries you and signs off on it. So it's true -- you can find practically anyone to serve as your wedding officiant and it will be legal. But you want more than just being married "legally," or you wouldn't have come here. You want something meaningful, special, and representative of who you are. Imagine your guests coming to your wedding and wondering, "Where did they find this guy?"
