The engineers Brian & Paul Harlick did an excellent job capturing the groups personality while recording the sounds of Romance with a light swing.Romance, Fort Lauderdale — Kevin Arney, Trombone, Vocals - Attended High School in Florida where he became involved in music. Proficient on Trombone, in his Senior year was one of the top trombone players in the State. Kevin then attended the University of Miami where he was the lead trombone player in the University of Miami Jazz Ensembles. After a couple of years he left the University to hit the road with the Joe Trippi band where he played the trombone and sang. While performing professionally Kevin played on the cruise ship the S.S. Norway where the band accompanied such stars as Jack Jones and Vic Damone. Kevin is proficient in several instruments including piano and saxophone. He has performed all over the United States and Europe with various musical organizations. His vocal style has always been a plus when performing. Kevin and his father have played together for about 30 years and have always been huge fans of the Big Band Era and the Frank Sinatra Style Music.Romance, Fort LauderdaleRomance, Fort Lauderdale — Both Kevin and Don are students of the Big Band Era. Don had a great deal of experience playing in the Big Bands as they were the Bands of the day. Kevin not only formed bands but was the Chief Arranger for the MDPD Jazz Ensemble. The Ensemble played many original arrangements and performed through out South Florida. The Ensemble was also the featured act for Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.Romance, Fort Lauderdale — Give them a try for your next event, you will have memories of the days Love meant Love and Romance meant Romance.Romance, Fort Lauderdale — Kevin our only "Roadie".Romance, Fort Lauderdale — Donald Arney, Keyboards and Vocals - Donald had about the same H.S. experience as Kevin. He excelled in music and was proficient in piano, bass, drums, and trombone. Attending Indiana State University Don earned much of his college money by leading his own quintet. Many college nights were spent playing dances on campus. After College Donald taught H.S. music in Indiana before moving to Florida. Both Kevin and Donald are thrilled to be able to provide a quality musical product playing the music we all so much enjoy.Romance, Fort Lauderdale — Kevin playing lounge piano.
