Fabulous wedding venue! Food, staff and beautiful setting!!
I would recommend that event planners consider hosting their event at the Romald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. I work close by the building and have been to several trade association conferences there over the past few years. The Reagan building has numerous conference rooms with varying seating capacities as well as a grand hall beneath an impressive glass ceiling. In addition to professional catering services, the building as a nice Italian restaurant complete with outdoor seating. Additionally, depending on the nature of the meeting, it might be of interest that the Reagan building has several coffee places and a food court similar to what you would find in a mall. Although the building is open to the public, the Reagan building does a good job of cordoning off the portion being used for a conference. In addition to having ample underground parking, the building sits at a metro stop. Because the building itself is situated close to both the White House and National Mall, out of town guests could easily walk around and take in sights after the conference. Although there are several relatively expensive hotels across the street from the building, the fact that the building sits atop a metro stop makes it easy for people to stay at a hotel within their budget. In addition to the hotels and sights in the immediate area, the building is across the street from what I would consider a commercial district where out of town visitors could stroll at the end of the conference. The area is one of the safest areas in Washington DC.
Held a party here for 400 people and it was the talk of the company for years! There is a beautiful Atrium/oval room that had gorgeous views from the balconies. Would be a beautiful backdrop for a lovely spring or summer wedding. The food was fabulous and worth the money. It was great working with staff, every detail was covered. We had private use of the entire space, once you stepped off the elevator. We had ample space to stage a quiet place for people to talk, dancing with a live band and plenty of cocktail rounds to keep people mingling.
