Today, Happy Trails Catering is also a full service catering company dedicated to fresh, exciting menus and professional service. Our Food is simply the best. We prepare our menus from the freshest ingredients and assemble them as close to serving as possible to retain the intrinsic flavors of each dish. We invite your input your personal taste preferences we will even make your favorite recipe. We feel the menu should be a reflection of you...after all it's your party. We rent these items and much more to provide your guests with all the equipment they need to enjoy your event. We can arrange to put up tents when it rains, rent heaters if it is chilly, full bar set ups and provide every guest with the full range of utensils and seating. Happy Trails' Garden is the best kept secret in Pasadena. Located directly behind our sparkling kitchen, craftsman style gates open onto the garden in the heart of the block in Old Pasadena. Click here to see location Photos. Wedding ceremonies are held on the raised deck at the base of a huge camphore tree that umbrellas the entire garden. Guest seating is set up on the grass with crisp linens and bright centerpieces. A natural stand of bamboo can backdrop the head table. Brick patios and walkways connect the flower filled garden and offer several areas for music and dancing. Add the aromas and taste sensations of Happy Trails Catering's cuisine and every event becomes a memorable experience.

 9/22/2011 | | "Great catering for any occasion!", An Eventective User from South Pasadena, California | | Happy Trails Catering was absolutely wonderful when my sister had her wedding! Their menu is very "American" which was perfect for our family. They had so many yummy things to choose from. For hors d'Ouevres, we had the fruit baskets, "Artichoke parmesean puffs", "Brie en croute", and "Phyllo Triangles". We asked specifically for the puffs to be made slightly crispier, and each and every one was, so we were pretty shocked out how well they followed instructions. (Keep in mind this was about a 150+ wedding....yeah) We had their greek salad as the main salad, but they forgot to have blue cheese dressing along with the balsamic + italian vinegarette, and ranch, so that is why they recieve a 4 for responsivness. This wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't the groom's favorite dressing..Anyways, they were very prompt, coming 30 minutes before call-time just to be safe...I guess march isn't a big wedding season? Last but not least...the CAKE. The cake, baby blue with white decor, 5 layers...very beautiful, delicious, fresh...done exactly right. Needless to say this place was great, and I will definitely (and my sister im sure) be using them again! Maybe even my wedding...whenever that is ;) |
| 8/15/2011 | | "Relaxed, but elegant outdoor venue", An Eventective User from Pasadena, California | This place is on Fair Oaks Avenue and most people have driven by but haven't realized how beautiful the location is. The setting is a garden with one large oak tree (?) as the focal point. The food was delicious and beautifully arranged.
My only complaint would be that there are only two small bathrooms and we had about 150 wedding guests so there were long lines to use the facilities.
The owner will typically talk to the wedding party about the expectations and may try to sway you in one direction but we held our ground and it all worked out perfectly. |
