The Kern County Museum contains over 50 historic structures amid 16 shaded park-like acres, where visitors can stroll and discover the past at their own pace. Two permanent exhibits, The Lori Brock Children's Discovery Center and Black Gold: The Oil Experience offer unique experiences for visitors of any age. Originally built as the Kern County Chamber of Commerce, the main museum houses a variety of permanent and changing exhibits.
