Graceful Elegance and Southern Charm, An Eventective User from Wakefield, MA

I chose the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion for the location of my wedding based on photos of the mansion that were available online, and I wasn't disappointed! This Civil War era museum and event location is even more beautiful in person. The grounds are meticulously maintained and feature several amazing live oak trees that date back to to the Civil War. The large wrap-around porch makes a fabulous backdrop in my wedding photos, and the spiral staircase in the foyer was a perfect start to my special walk down the aisle. The staff were friendly and helpful, even going so far as to help me find local caterers, a DJ, and a ceremony officiant. The Bragg-Mitchell Mansion even provided a wedding planner specifically as a point of contact for my vendors, so my vendors could call with any site usage questions. There is a list of easy-to-follow rules for the location that are designed to preserve the mansion and its grounds. The site rental fee covered my rehearsal the day before my wedding, use of the mansion for the day of my wedding, including parking, a lady's salon for my private use, on-site dining areas for my reception, and a private tour of the mansion. Because my wedding was two days after Christmas, they generously agreed to leave their holiday decorations up for me, including the Bragg-Mitchell's Christmas Tree, which is decorated by a local designer. The Bragg-Mitchell Mansion's staff really went out of their way to make my day special, and I will always remember their kindness and generosity.
