 8/19/2008 | | "not 100%", An Eventective User from Birmingham, Alabama | | B&A came highly recommended by a friend. Known for their signature "bites" and atmosphere in a revived warehouse. Because our event fell during peak bridal season, we booked this venue nearly 6 months in advance. The original contact for B&A "disappeared" and after 2 months of waiting for menu options, we had to call and ask for help. Second contact was a disappointment as she never returned calls or emails. Finally, the director, I believe, stepped in and worked with us on the menu. We were nothing short of very professional but don't think we were granted the same from the staff until the day of the event. We had over 20 local attorneys, a handful of doctors, professors, web developers, a professional caterer and numerous people in the banking industry attending this event. Perhaps if the staff of the B&A had focused on the potential for future business, the food may have not been served cold throughout the 4 hours we had reserved. One or two complaints, I can understand...its hard to please everyone. But days after the event, having most of the above mentioned professionals comment on the quality of the food served was embarrassing. I think perhaps the owners of the B&A should review with their sales and event coordinators, the importance of leaving an impression with potential clients. Rather than focusing on how quickly I could sign my signature to the bill. It's also never a good business practice to "hand the bill off" to just anyone and not the event organizer. After being passed around before finally making its way to me, I'm sure those same professionals were wondering why the total bill did not reflect the quality of the food or the behavior of the "office" staff. The waiters/waitresses, kitchen and hosting staff were very pleasant. They would be the only reason a complaint wasn't made that evening. |

Even with that knowledge they were courteous and professional while dealing with me. The layout was phenomenal and the service was even better. They had security for parking and they never badgered me for money or details even though I was slightly slow on both. I cannot stress enough how easy and kind they are to work with. They were surprisingly affordable as well. |
