The M at Matthews is a full service lounge and event center located in the heart of downtown Birmingham, right above Matthews Bar & Grill. This venue is home to some pretty fantastic things. To start off, the building sits on a full city block. This 9000 sq feet fact gives you plenty of space to host small, medium and large scale events. In addition to size, The M has a unique "green" lighting system. Instead of standard hot light bulbs, we use cool low current leds. These small, low power, "bright" lights allow us to save energy & control the room intensity / color for various moods and effects. We can even separate the room into multiple colors and shades. With this option, you can truly have a colorful theme party. In addition to the above, wifi comes standard throughout the entire room. If visuals are your thing, we also have six 42" plasma TVs and two large projection screens capable of showing any format (standard TV, HD Cable, Power Point, Word, Excel, Live Video, Graphics and more). Note: high definition video is even supported. In addition to lights and visuals, we also have our own in house sound system and engineer. This allows us to host full bands and shows of many types.
