The Castleton was one of the best sites for a summer wedding that I have ever been to. It is extremely well kept with excellent landscaping. Ceremonies are done next to the water or on a dock that stretches out into the water. At sunset it truly makes things magical. The food was outstanding and they offered a large variety of things to eat. I would recommend the chicken fingers. They are without a doubt some of the best I have ever had. The staff was courteous and willing to help out where ever possible. The one down side to the location is the area that they have for cocktail hour before hand. It is small and really is not the best area for large parties. It is crowded and you can easily spill something on someone, which could lead to some very unhappy guests. The price of drinks was extremely reasonable as well. They had two open bars, one in each side of the building where the reception was held. I would have liked to have seen more care taken in the decorating and linens however. They seemed extremely cheap despite the color scheme. All in all the location itself is convenient and directly off the highway. The location is pushed back so you do not hear any traffic or noise that would disturb your wedding. Also there is a hotel that is nearby that the location recommends so you don’t have to drive if you don’t want to.
