About The Robert Bateman Centre
The Robert Bateman Centre is located on the second floor of the historic Steamship Terminal; a landmark building constructed in 1924 on Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour. The neo-classical structure was designed by Percy James and Francis Rattenbury who is also known for the design of the nearby Parliament Buildings of British Columbia and Empress Hotel. The Robert Bateman Centre features floor to ceiling windows with ocean front views of Victoria’s Inner Harbour. The Centre is across the street from the Parliamentary Buildings of British Columbia and within walking distance of Victoria’s downtown core. The space is made up of one central gallery (61’ x 17’) with eight adjoining galleries. To host an event or meeting in our gallery or conference facilities please contact us today!
