Inspired by Barbra Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, Olivia Newton-John, and even Ann Wilson (Heart), Lisa Marie Ellis developed her singing voice by following along with recordings of her favorite female artists.She cultivated her rich, strong vocals through the help of world-renowned vocal coach Judy Davis. Davis trained such great artists as Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and Mary Martin. Other well known students of Ms. Davis included Janis Joplin and Eddie Money.
Performing Pop, Jazz standards (The Great American Songbook), Broadway, Rock or Country, Lisa is equally at home in a variety of genres. "I don't believe in labels - a great song is simply a great song if it allows you to connect with your audience in a meaningful way."
