Dream Wedding Under The Sea - An Eventective User from Tampa, Florida

The Florida Aquarium provides a beautiful backdrop for a wedding or special event. I was recently the Maid of Honor in my best friends wedding and was able to help her through the entire planning of the event. We looked at a few places before ultimately deciding on the Florida Aquarium. She has always loves aquariums and thought it would provide a lovely backdrop for the ceremony. This ended up being more than true. The entire time she was greeted by guests telling her how beautiful she looked with the soft lighting and fish swimming by the entire time. They also enjoyed the fun atmosphere. During the cocktail hour guests were able to walk around the aquarium and check out all of the exhibits. For those people who came from out of town this was a special treat. It became part of their vacation experience. The environment set up the perfect scene for my friend. She liked the idea of a tropical beach but without the cheesy decorations and bright colors. She was able to go with a muted palate and under the sea feel. The food fit this theme perfectly, seafood was served but only in minor details. She did not want to go overboard. There was also a carving station and a pasta station during cocktail hour. The food was warm and tasty. We loved that the caterer was part of the package, so you did not have to go outside and spend your time researching separate caterers. We loved the entire staff, from her personal consultant to the head chef and background organizers. Everyone was great and friendly, although a bit hard to get a hold of sometimes. Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful site for a wedding.
