Best Wedding Venue in Maine, An Eventective User from Portland Maine

I've been to many weddings, but only a few in Maine (the best of which was my own which I will keep location of a secret). That location was on family property and I'd just hate to give away the small town in Central Maine where it was held. But I have to let all know of a great wedding I went to about a year ago along the coast of Maine on Sabasco Harbor. Just south of Bath Maine, off of Route 219 you'll find Sabasco Harbor Resort. At first view it doesn't seem so extraordinary, but believe me it was a wonderful time. Personally I had an inside view of the working of the wedding. My wife was the wedding planner and the bride and groom are good friends of ours. The wedding itself was wonderful. The vows, the readings, the singing were all perfectly coordinated. But the first real taste of the quaint seaside resort consisted of a lobster dinner in one of the dining halls nestled under a group of pines. All received felt lobster hats which, even the fussiest of the group, had no issue donning to enjoy the Maine experience. After the meal, which was full of great food and drink, we all made our way to the main dining hall (Cornelius Room) in the main building. A band was playing and the hall was a dream with fantastic lighting, and colored cloth hangings. There were edible arraignments at every table, a station of small bite-size cakes, and (this was my favorite spot) a Port Wine/Cigar station. Superb! The wedding and reception as a whole was a moment in time which I will never forget. And the staff was the most polite and courteous group of individuals I have ever met. They were a wonderful help to my busy wife and to everyone in attendance. So if you're looking for the best taste of Maine for your wedding you just have to consider the Sabasco Harbor Resort.
