Wish Upon a Star, An Eventective User from Palm Bay, Florida

Last year my fiance (now wife) and I got married at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Orlando, Florida. Prior to my suggestion, my wife had never even known about the Grand Floridian. I on the other hand, would sometimes stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort with a buddy of mine, and--if you're unfamiliar with the area, the resorts are in the vicinity of the Magic Kingdom, and thus connected by monorail--I would pass the stunningly beautiful Grand Floridian. It is like a Disney palace come to life! I never mentioned it to my buddy, but I always thought there could be nowhere better to get married (at the time, I was not yet acquanted with my wife). I met Laura in 2008 and proposed to her early last year. We didn't settle on a date for awhile, but eventually decided and that we would do so at the Grand Floridian. Me, I was nervous at bringing it up since I had secretly wanted my marriage to take place there for years, but when I showed Laura the website, she quite agreed with me. I got what I wanted and let her and our wedding planner take charge for most part. The day of, it was absolutely gorgeous: the scenery, the resort, my Laura. We took our vows in a small, but gorgeous pavilion off to the side of the resort by the lake. Our reception was a small to medium one, but the extravagance was unparalleled. We were able to catch the sun as it set over the water before retiring to out suite. Besides the big moment itself, eveything else was simply splendid. Everything lived up to Disney's reputation: our room was astounding, the service impeccable, and overall, everything was wonderful. A dream come true, minus the expenses of course, but that's to be expected I guess. I highly recommend the Grand Floridian. Nearby or from far away, the trip is well worth it and you won't be displeased.

This resort is wonderful, we went with our whole family, (10 people) what a beautiful resort, everyone was so friendly, the resort staff was amazing, the food incredible, rooms were awesome, (theme park view room). If you want to stay at a 5 star resort, THIS IS YOUR RESORT..... Grand Floridian see you in 22 days......thank you disney...
