Prior to founding MG Events in 1989, Chef Michael Goldstein proudly owned and ran the critically-acclaimed restaurant 464 Magnolia in Marin County. His culinary talents have been featured in Bon Appetit, Gourmet Magazine, The New Yorker, and The Pacific Sun. Never one to rest on his laurels, Chef Michael formed MG Events in 1989 with one objective in mind: To create the finest catering and events company in the Bay Area. To satisfy customers' catering and event needs, we corraled a talented team of event planners, coordinators, photographers, bartenders, DJ's, and staff, and built our reputation by cultivating relationships, one successful event at a time. Over the past two decades, with literally hundreds of weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, office parties, birthday parties, and much more, MG Events once again raises the bar of culinary and event production. In 2016, we welcomed Chef Jessette Kalsi of Jessette's Kitchen to our team as a partner, opening new avenues of taste and style. Having worked in many of the Bay Area's finest restaurants (Michael Mina's RN74, VaDaVie of Walnut Creek, and Napa's The Pear), Chef Jessette raises professionalism to a new level with flavors as exotic as they are delicious. As co-owner of MG Events, Chef Jessette's focus on Asian-Fusion, French-Filipino, and exotic foods, and with Chef Michael's exceptional creativity in transforming traditional flavors, we are poised to reach new customers and new levels of success.
