Outstanding Farm Fresh Meals and Hospitality, An Eventective User from Minneapolis, MN

We stayed in the comfortable Lower River Room. My husband took a little persuasion to even go there and now wants to return. His words: "relaxing", "peaceful", "friendly vibes", "learning experience." Dennis and Melanie made some memorable, delicious meals. Loved the wood-fired sauna. Thank you!

My Experiance, from Brunswick,WI

I attended a wedding here once & I must say it was an incredable one of a kind experiance! The land is so beautifully breathtaking there that you can't help but feel serenity when you walk through their organic gardens. Canoeing the Buffalo River was also relaxing as well as rewarding with seeing wildlife & watching the Blade Eagles! And dont get me started on the food which was beyond amazing with everything being fresh from their organic gardens & I had never tried a raw nut cake before.... WOW HOW DELICIOUS THAT WAS! I Am already planning on having my wedding there!

We’re nestled within the bustling heart of downtown Eau Claire, right on the Chippewa River Trail, mere feet from the Eau Claire River, and just blocks away from several restaurants, retailers, pubs, parks, farmers markets, theaters, and various nightly events. Our unique property consists of two distinct buildings — The Main House and The Flats — joined by our actively programmed courtyard and our comfortable, woodsy patio. In addition to rooms, the Main House hosts The Lakely — our farmer-sourced restaurant, bar, and music venue — as well as our on-site outdoor outfitter offering bikes, kayaks, canoes, and other adventure gear. You can eat, drink, and be merry anywhere within the walls of our property. And we hope you do just that. The Oxbow Hotel and The Lakely play host to weekly indoor events in the bar and the gallery lounge, as well as periodic outdoor events in our courtyard and patio. Our stage inside the Lakely regularly hosts some of the finest jazz musicians in the region, as well as special guest DJ appearances spinning vinyl in the late evening hours. Other live music and special ticketed events also occur often. The stage features a signature look designed by Eaux Claires Festival creative director Michael Brown, as well as optimal viewing angles from throughout the establishment. Our Gallery Lounge can play host to a number of different community events including small concerts, film screenings, book readings, talks, parties, and more. Our courtyard and patio – featuring outdoor fire pits, couches, tables, and more – make for a great outdoor spot for larger seasonal events as well. Morning, noon, or night, the Oxbow is a dynamic choice for a variety of exclusive parties, events, and corporate functions. We feature highly unique and comfortable indoor spaces, as well as flexible urban outdoor spaces – environments that exude the kind of northern vibe you can’t find anywhere else in the region. With some of the town’s best food and drink offerings, we can host nightlife-driven revelries, site-wide celebrations, private corporate lunches, or anything you may have in mind. We have full audio/visual capabilities, stages and specialty lighting, and quality sound. A range of set ups are possible accommodating smaller groups of fifteen up to larger events in the hundreds. And if your group wants to also spend the night, our 30 rooms (including 12 two-room suites) can comfortably sleep as many as 72 people.
