The Adamson House provides a chance to get married right next to the ocean, with an historic home available for touring. The spot is open to the public on weekdays, so you can simply go and check it out on your own prior to contacting the site (it is a state-owned and run property) to reserve the location. (See Adamson.org -- a PDF with a wedding tours brochure can be found on the site. However, unless money is no object, I highly recommend simply touring the place on your own, saving the wedding tour fee, and then just booking the Adamson House if it is right for you without the formal tour). The grounds provide a beautiful spot for a ceremony, under a spreading oak tree with the ocean to the left of the assembled guests and a rose garden on their right. Then the patio of the home is the perfect place for a cocktail reception, with the ocean as a backdrop. Finally, on the other side of the home, your caterer can have dinner and a dance floor ready in an area by a fountain composed of classic Malibu tile. Indeed, the lovely and interesting tile can be found all over the historic home and its grounds, and your guests can stroll around a location that they will never forget. Renting the location is not cheap, and you will need to hire your own caterer -- the site's event coordinator will know of caterers who have done weddings there before -- so it is not the simplest and easiest to coordinate, but this is the place to have a dream wedding.
