Beautiful but broken up, An Eventective User from

I attended a wedding here a few months ago. First, the hotel itself is gorgeous. It's all very modern art deco and makes you feel like you're in an old hotel somewhere great like NY or Chicago. It's located downtown, not far from the P&L district which is great for those that want to go out on the town. The wedding itself was stunning. They rented out the entire mezzanine level. The ballroom was gorgeous and I'm sure it was beautiful even without all the decorations. It was very romantic feeling. The food was good. They had a pasta station that was a big hit. My only issue was spacing. This wedding had over 200 people so they spilled out of the ballroom and into some of the smaller rooms on the same level. It was fine but it felt a little disjointed.

The staff at Hotel Phillips made my wedding day stress free. I simply had to drop off my decorations and they put everything together for me. The food was delicious. Their pasta station was a huge hit and everyone is STILL talking about it. It all had a very classy, elegant touch and the hotel is so beautiful on it's own that it really doesn't need much extra

8th&Main is a wedding and events space in historic downtown Grandview, Missouri. The urban space that has been restored to grandeur with a nod to its past life as a bank. While renovating the building, we discovered the original bank vault and gave it a prominent place in this intimate room with 10 foot oak paneled doors dating back to 1902. The vault room is ideal for a ceremony or cocktail party of 130 or less. The larger reception room is upscale in style and finishes and has plenty of room for dinner and dancing for 150 guests. The exposed brick walls and solid oak doors give way to a private outdoor patio that accommodates a ceremony for 180. The patio is also a great space for guests to talk and mingle around the dancing flames of the outdoor fireplace.
