I'm new here and I wanted to share a wedding setup we did. We def. went over-the-top, but thats what the client wanted (I should know as this was for my own personal wedding)
What we did was full room uplighting, a custom monogram, and our signature "T" setup over the dance floor. We have multiple moving fixtures, wash lighting, and a huge 20" disco ball.
Where the third leg of this setup was. the head table was directly in front of it, and then the dance floor. Since the wall behind the head table wasn't exactly "eye candy" we put up two videos screen playing ambient video as the backdrop. Then during the First dance, father/daughter & mother/son we had slideshows going. Then once it was open dancing our DJ did video mixing on the screens.
