Hello, I am in the process of selecting a venue for my daughter's high school graduation dinner party in Lexington, KY. Like to invite approx 100 - 120 people. I like a venue where they can cater and some we can order from outside. Any ideas or suggestion. Cost is a factor but not a major one. I also like to have a photographer and a media person.

You are out of your mind! You can't have a wedding for 300 guests on that kind of budget! That's only $6.67 - $10 a person! You can't even feed that many people for that budget much less rent the venue, decorate, and everything else. Cut the guest list to 20 people, get married at the courthouse, and treat everyone to a nice luncheon at a local restaurant.

The original plan for celebrating my daughter's birthday was to be held out our house. But, we are 3 months away from her birthday and I fear our home won't be move-in ready by that time. Our temporary rental just isn't big enough to host 50-80 family members. Does anyone know of a venue where we can choose our caterer and alcohol is allowed? Ive been in the wedding business for 17 years, the days your mom is remembering have pretty much been long gone for awhile in our area. New England. Even when the couple has the Dj offer or provide a game to give away centerpieces most of the time the caterer ends up cleaning them up since they are left behind. It's not a "thing" like it was 30 years ago!

We recently got engaged and are trying to stay away from getting into debt because of a party. We are in Tampa, FL and if anyone has any good suggestions of places that are all inclusive and willing to stay open a little bit later than normal we will appreciate it. I have reserved several venues within the Atlanta city limits and outside of the city limits to find what you are looking for and they all are pretty much over $ 1,500 unless you branch out to Douglasville, Austell and maybe Cobb.

As a wedding venue owner and wedding planner I have seen it all. I have also been married and lost a spouse, so I get the "live each day as if it were your last". That may be hard to do, but is SO important. If you really love your future spouse, the details won't matter on the day of your wedding. The bliss of it all will overwhelm you. The biggest thing I see ruining weddings, is STRESS. So, whatever causes you stress, work on finding someone or a way to handle that part, before the wedding day. Whether it is a wedding planner or going to an all inclusive that does everything (except the photographer), or keeping it simple and being a DIY because you love doing that kind of thing. Plan to be able to do nothing but enjoy your friends and family that day. Seriously, NOTHING! Plan to have nothing really important to get taken care of at least 3 days before your wedding, preferably a week. We now offer all inclusive weddings because I felt so bad seeing all these stressed out brides, grooms, and mothers on the best day of their lives. Best wishes, Terian Farms
