I am looking for two inexpensive party venues.One that will allow the choice to bring in outside food. One that will accomdate about 100 party guests for dinner and dancing. Is there anyone who knows about facilities of that nature.
Hello everyone! We are planning to get married in Vegas in May of 2018 and there will be about 100 of us coming from Canada. We would be looking for something chic or unique to hold the dinner and reception. Would prefer something all inclusive with the most important things being food, booze, DJ and room to dance! We have looked at a couple places through Chapel of the Flowers, Tropicana LV and Rainbow gardens but would LOVE some input from local folks or people who have had a wedding of similar size there. If anyone knows hotels that would offer discounted rooms for guests, even better. We would be looking to spend about $12-13,000 USD. Any suggestions or advice would be great! Also, post reception we are looking for requests for a great lounge or bar to continue the party to dance and drink the night away. Greatly appreciate any insights, thank you!

Pittsburgh is warm during September early October. The colors are brilliant with fall foliage. And there are plenty of venues that could host your event. What are your attendee numbers?
You can especially if you plan to have your wedding when it's not "wedding season". Make sure you do your homework and be ready to make a lot of phone calls to different venues. Also go for a more simple look and decide what is really important to you. One way to save cost is instead of buying both 'save the date' cards and invitations, buy invitations only or look for a photographer that includes one or the other in their package (or can add them on for an extra fee). Also try talking to a few wedding planners and see what they can do with a $5000 budget; they will have the ins and outs to different venues.

Try to book the hall with no down payment. Most of them do understand the situation. If not, ask them to give you a month to come up with the down payment. Put a request out on FB or mail that you need classmates to volunteer to pay now in order to come up with the down payment and other expenses like invites, stamps, reunion book, name tags,DJ down payment etc. Have the committee members pay early also.
Make sure to keep the price as low as you can so people can or will attend but also protect yourself from losing money. Do not expect more than 30% of classmates to show. Think low when putting a price on attendance. Name tags with their HS picture on is always a hit but you may not have to do that until you all get older and unrecognizable.
Also do not hire an expensive dj. If you just have a simple one to play music, no fancy lights, that will be enough. People are mostly socializing.
Finding people and their addresses takes a lot of time. Get classmates to volunteer to help locate them. Split the list up. This late in the game, I would give them a month to do this. The sooner you get invites out the better. People need to plan their vacations around reunion. I am sending my invites out by March 2017 for our August 12th class
