About Aldie Mansion

Named after the William R. Mercer family’s ancestral estate in Perthshire, Scotland, and modeled after the Compton Wynyates in Warwickshire, England, Aldie Mansion stands on more than 10 acres of carefully tended grounds. While this early 20th-Century estate’s period charm adds to the character of any special event, the restored mansion offers the space and amenities of a more contemporary venue. For large gatherings, the building’s 2,400-squarefoot atrium serves as a perfect setting for dancing and dining; while the library, gallery and great hall are each ideal for more intimate events. Outdoors, the mansion’s prolific gardens, stone terraces, working fountains, and flowering trees are sure to make an impression. Whether you’re seeking a location for a wedding, reunion, or conference, Aldie’s distinctive architecture, elegant landscaping, and experienced professional staff are guaranteed to make your event a memorable success. Aldie Mansion is home to Heritage Conservancy, a non-profit membership organization whose mission is to protect our natural and historic heritage. Aldie’s own story is one of a successful preservation effort, making it a fitting headquarters for the group. When you choose to hold your event at Aldie Mansion, you are providing support for open space preservation, planning for sustainable communities, natural resource protection, property stewardship, historic preservation, the adaptive reuse of existing structures and wildlife habitat restoration.
