Conveniently located in downtown Evansville, this unique setting offers guests free parking. In the beautiful new Pavilion, two and a half stories of glass reveal views of the beautiful Ohio River, the City’s Downtown Historic District and the Transportation Center’s historic steam engine, club car and caboose. The Pavilion has quickly become an attractive venue for special events. Surrounding exhibitions create an artistic backdrop for event guests, and exclusive access to the galleries builds a truly memorable experience.

Evansville Museum offers a variety of rental space options for private and corporate functions accommodating groups of all sizes. Join us for holiday parties, corporate meetings, customer appreciation days, intimate parties or black-tie dinners. Evansville Museum has provided the community with 100 years of exhibitions, entertainment and education. All proceeds from rentals directly support the museum’s mission.

RENTAL FAQ

What is the cost to rent the museum for my event?

Prices range from $200 – $6,000 depending on the size of the event and the spaces needed. Discounts for 501 (c)(3) organizations are available.

What areas are available to rent?

The museum has many areas listed above that are available to rent. Depending on your event goals, one or more areas may be utilized for each event. You are welcome to visit the museum spaces any time during public hours. Please call to schedule a visit.

Are tables and chairs included in the rental fee?

No. Tables and chairs are not available through the museum. Please ask for our preferred vendors list for rental companies, caterers, and entertainment.

What is included in the rental fee?

The rental fee includes the use of the agreed upon rental area(s), kitchen or catering area access, podium and microphone, Wi-Fi and internet connection, and video screens in two rental areas.

What Additional Fees can I expect?

Off-Duty police officer(s) for events with alcohol and Museum Guard(s)

What is the the rental space capacity?

Accommodations can be made for 10 – 500 people, depending on the rental area(s).

What types of events CAN’T be held at Evansville Museum?

Proms, fraternity and sorority formals, and political or religious events cannot be scheduled at the museum. Weddings, receptions, and high school reunions are permitted.

How do I select vendors for my event?

The museum provides a list of preferred vendors to help in the planning of your event. You may choose from the provided list or use your own vendors. Please note that the museum has final approval of all vendors.

Can we serve alcohol at our event?

A licensed bartender may serve alcohol at your event. Some events may require an off-duty police officer to be present.

Are there any restrictions?

The following are not permitting in any areas: glitter, confetti, birdseed, bubbles, open flames, candles, glow sticks, crayons, fountains of any kind, and live animals with the exception of service animals.

If something happens, am I held liable?

We expect that users will respect our space; however, accidents do happen. A one-day insurance rider needs to be presented before each event. Companies and organizations can easily obtain one by calling their agent. Individuals can obtain one at www.theeventhelper.com.

Is there parking available for our guests?

Yes, there is ample free parking available for your guests.

Can I add a tour to coincide with my event?

Of course! Evansville Museum’s Education Curator may facilitate arrangements for such activities upon request. An additional fee will apply.

How do I reserve space?

Email Chelsie Walker at marketing@emuseum.org to discuss your event. Chelsie will send you a contract, which you will sign and return along with a 50% deposit for of the rental amount. The remainder of the cost will be due one week prior to the event date. The museum accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, as well as checks and cash.
