Tara Manor is a family owned, fully equipped vacation resort located in historic St. Andrews by-the-Sea, New Brunswick.
Beautifully situated atop a gently sloping 9-acre property, with a park like setting, all of the inn’s 26 guest rooms, have balconies/decks many of which are afforded stunning views of Passamaquoddy Bay and Navy Island.
Since the early 1970s, Tara has been a popular vacation destination for couples, families and groups wanting to enjoy a country atmosphere, while still within minutes of the historic downtown. Come enjoy the tennis court, hot tub and heat outdoor salt water pool. Groups wanting to host business conferences or reunions in a unique and convenient setting, all within 3 minutes of the downtown shops, and adventures, will find the Maritime Hospitality at Tara Manor, second to none!
Built circa 1859 as a summer residence, “Belle Vu”, as it was known then, was once owned by Sir Charles Tupper, (one of Canada’s Father’s of Confederation) and and the Rt. Honourable C.D. Howe, a leading Canadian economist and Cabinet Minister. There have only been six other owners in its long history and they include Professor D. Blakeney Hoar for whom Blakeney Hoar Square in Boston, Massachusetts was named .
