Meetings are held every Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner is served until 6:30 p.m., with programs starting at 6:45 p.m. There are lots of great programs and delicious meals coming up on Tuesdays at the Chapter House! Check out our Menus and Programs page to find out more! 

Join The Des Moines Izaak Walton League’s Mike Delaney Tuesday, April 23 to discuss Wildflowers and Mushrooms in the Raccoon Watershed. Participants will walk the western wild loop of Waterworks Park. The walk will be One Hour, approximately 2 miles, or 4,000 average adult steps, meeting at 4:30 pm in the Ikes Crum Outdoor Education Center, 4343 George Flagg Pkwy, Des Moines 50321. Participation is FREE and open to Adults and Children who are able to walk two miles and want to learn about the out-of-doors. All youth (12 and under) will need an adult with them. No dogs. Dinner at the Ikes will be available for purchase after the walk for interested participants.

• Saturday, June 15, 2024: CarpFEST! 9am – 11:30am at Gray’s Lake in Des Moines. A FREE Fishing Contest for the whole Family!
• Tuesday, August 6, 2024: Des Moines Izaak Walton League Annual Meeting. Presidents Report, updates and officer elections.
• August 13, 2024: The Des Moines Ikes Annual Sweet Corn Feed! All the delicious Iowa Sweet Corn you can eat, plus sides!
• September 21, 2024: The Des Moines Izaak Walton League’s Iowa Outdoor Expo!
