Emil Bach House is a historic landmark designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1915 for the Bach family. Located near the shores of Lake Michigan on Chicago’s north side, the home is a showcase of elements common to the prairie-style. The Bach House also points to future stylistic directions that the architect’s work would take, including the home’s contained geometry, efficient scale and modern window designs.
