We were in the market for an intimate venue for our wedding reception, something with a lot of character and natural light. Creativo met those criteria, and so I met with Sarah and Giorgio. I was at once charmed & delighted, and my apprehension about encountering clipboard-carrying individuals who saw me as just another contract dissipated entirely. Sarah & Giorgio were genuinely happy for my husband and me, and, throughout the planning process, were on hand to answer any questions about catering, flowers, make-up, hotels, bakeries, etc. They recommended a judge who could perform the ceremony at the venue so that we could skip the courthouse. While they offered suggestions as far as caterers, we were free to choose whomever we wished. (We did go with one of their recommendations in the end --Fig-- and were well pleased). The big day was absolutely perfect. Sarah was behind the scenes making sure that things ran smoothly. The room was stunning and a perfect fit for 30 guests who are still talking about how elegant and classy everything was, and yet somehow cozy, too. The ceremony took place in one corner, dinner was served near the bar, the ceremony space (once cleared) added to the dancefloor, and, in the corner not shown on the web site, there were two romanesque sofas and a coffee table that were much appreciated by older guests who weren't keen to dance the night away. I want to note that we were definitely on an impossibly tight wedding budget by Chicago standards, but Sarah & Giorgio made it possible. There's a great sound system in the loft so an Ipod can take the place of a DJ. The space is small enough that the chairs used for the ceremony were quickly relocated to the dining area, and we were able to use what the studio had on hand from table linens to vases. The space is lovely, Sarah and Giorgio are amazing and our wedding was less stressfull than, more fun than and just as beautiful as we ever could have imagined.
