About Oliver Winery

Oliver Winery started in the 1960s as a hobby in the basement of Indiana University law professor William Oliver. His enthusiasm for making wine led him to establish a vineyard northwest of Bloomington. Soon, the flourishing vines produced grapes far in excess of his needs as a hobby winemaker, and he began plans to open a commercial winery. Today, Oliver Winery is an employee-owned company and a world-class destination, offering best-in-class service, beautiful scenery and grounds, and an approachable wine experience to thousands of visitors each year. As one of the largest wineries east of the Mississippi, we distribute our award-winning, fruit-forward wines to 21 states and ship across the country. At Oliver Winery we connect people through wine, and that's really the best part of our story. Through the decades, our visitors and customers have come to expect excellence in every Oliver experience. We're proud to continue that story. Call today to inquire about hosting your private event with us! We offer space for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, corporate meetings and receptions, family parties, and more.
