We spent our yearly family vacation at Golden Bear Cottages. It is the perfect mountain retreat from all the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and the metropolitian Inland Empire. We chose Golden Bear Cottages because of the following reasons: it is family friendly, it has real historic cabins, cleanliness, location and a referral from a friend at work who goes all the time. First of all, remember that this is a historic mountain resort. That means that the cabins were built over 75 years ago. But, let me tell you that their staff really keeps these beautiful old cabins up! They have all been refurbished, and are top notch. It is not like going to a 5 star hotel, with everything white and dry walled. The historic cabins at Golden Bear are made out of logs and real knotty pine. They staff and owners at this resort have spent real effort to restore them as they were originally built. We took a tour of many of the cabins. They have only changed part of the bathrooms from original, so they could put those big two person spa tubs in most of them. The time the owners and staff spent with us shows their true desire to make us a life-long customer and friend. They have succeeded! We will definitely return many times in the years to come. It is like our own timeshare, but better because we only have to pay for it when we go for vacation. Thank you to all! You are the best!
