La Tavola Trattoria has a very romantic, intimate setting. It is quiet and dim, with an open dining room. It's an average size dining room for the Highlands, which is not that big, but not tiny either. There is something special about the ravioli there. I can't put my finger on what's so different about it, but it's definitely the best I've ever had. They also have a lengthy wine list. The location is great if you want to get out and window shop or walk to a nearby bar after dinner. The parking situation is not so great, though. You have to get lucky and find some on-street parking if you don't want to hike. This place would be great for parties of up to 20 or so. It's nice that you can actually hear your own conversation here, unlike some restaurants that blare their music to the point where you can't even talk over it. This would be a great place for an event where toasts would be made, since it is easy to see and hear who you are with.
